The San Antonio Gender Association (SAGA) is dedicated to the exploration of issues involving gender identity, and to the advocacy of fair and just public policy for the wider GLBTQI+ community.
SAGA offers a welcoming and safe place for conversation, discussion, and support to transgender, gender nonconforming, non-binary, genderqueer, and intersex persons and to those who love and support them.
No matter what the stage of your personal journey, SAGA is here to offer support and fellowship for all.
SAGA meetings are run by the officers, who are elected each year by the group. A typical meeting starts out with announcements by the officers, followed by introductions. We usually then have open discussion on topics suggested by members or occasionally have a presentation by an invited speaker. During the last hour we break up for social time, so our members can get to know each other.
Our meetings are informal and we encourage all visitors to come as they feel comfortable.
